The Master of Business Administration taught and awarded by University of Central Lancashire is an intensive programme designed for those wishing either to establish or sustain a successful managerial or professional career. This 4-month MBA Top-Up is delivered 100% online and is intended for holders of a recognised postgraduate diploma with 120 credits.
Taught by highly experienced and qualified tutors, who will provide guidance for the completion of an MBA dissertation, the MBA provides a rigorous process of personal and managerial development in which you are encouraged and expected to make your own unique contribution.
Research Specialisation Certificate
The Research Specialisation Certificate is an optional certificate offered to students pursuing the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the University of Central Lancashire. In addition to the MBA certificate and transcript, students who opt for this certificate will receive a third certificate that includes the title of their dissertation topic, authorised by the University.
The Research Specialisation Certificate allows students to choose a dissertation topic in any management specialisation that they prefer, such as finance, marketing, human resources, or operations. Course Content
The MBA Dissertation module is a core module in the Master of Business Administration programme at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). This module provides students with the opportunity to conduct independent research on a topic of their choice within the field of management.
Throughout the module, students will learn about research methods and approaches, as well as how to develop a research proposal and conduct a literature review. In terms of coursework, students will be required to complete a brief on research methods (2,000 words), a project (12,000 words) and a professional development report (1,000 words).

Upon successful completion of the MBA Dissertation module, students will be awarded an exclusive Research Specialisation Certificate that includes the title of their dissertation topic, authorised by the University. This certificate recognises students’ specialised knowledge and expertise in a particular area of management and serves as an endorsement from the University, indicating the student’s commitment and dedication to academic research.

- Applicants without a Level 7 Diploma but holding significant managerial experience will be provided an alternative accelerated pathway on a case-by-case basis.
